Vice President - Professional Services - NYC
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the day-to-day strategic lead for select Professional Services clients, managing both strategy and execution
- Develop and edit strategic marketing and communications plans and program recommendations
- Develop and edit content (surveys, insights, bylined articles, infographics, internal and external marketing collateral and other materials)
- Develop media relations strategies, goals, media targets and pitch angles; pitch the media
- Serve as thought leader on client teams and across Professional Services, demonstrating industry or media-driven knowledge that adds value to the client and to the firm
- Maintain budgets and manage reporting for client and internal purposes
- Lead and/or participate in client presentations
- Identify and nurture opportunities for organic growth and generate new leads. Steer new business proposals through strategy, exceptional research, and content development
- Become immersed in firm's capabilities overall and key offerings to identify opportunities for our clients to better achieve their goals
- Manage staff performance and coach for success
- Advise on firm direction and suggest ideas to contribute to growth
Qualifications:
- Professional / business services / B2B communications experience is a MUST
- 8-10+ years of relevant public relations/marketing experience, including agency experience, is required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience leading accounts, motivating team members and building strong client relationships
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Able to grasp and explain complex concepts to a variety of audiences
- Keen understanding of agency and business operations, including managing budgets, staffing and supervising
- Has strong media relations/pitching skills and established relationships
- Demonstrated experience and success as a mentor, teacher and supervisor
- Thrives in a highly-collaborative, client-service driven environment
- Abe to shift priorities against changing client and team needs
- Positive, professional and flexible attitude that lends itself to quality client service
