Sr AE or Acct Supv. - Prestigious NYC Agency - Huge global consulting firm client

My client is a 44-year old integrated marketing communication agency that partners with top-tier healthcare, financial and professional services companies to build reputation and sales through strategic and creative PR, thought leadership, innovative targeted digital media and analytics. Clients include some of the most respected names in the industries served; average tenure among large clients is eight-plus years. This SAE or AS will have the opportunity to join a team responsible for the B2B integrated marketing activities and PR for the firm's largest client, supporting multiple business lines and service offerings. You will participate in strategic planning and content creation initiatives across the entire account and assist in several issues-based marketing campaigns. 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the day-to-day support for various account areas, working directly with senior executives
  • Help to create issue-based marketing campaigns across the firm
  • Leverage stellar writing/editing skills to develop and edit content (bylined articles, media pitches, blog posts, thought leadership collateral, external marketing collateral and other press materials)
  • Develop media relations strategies, goals, media targets and pitch angles
  • Pitch the media 
  • Serve as information leader on client teams, demonstrating industry or media-driven knowledge that directly and indirectly affects the client
  • Route articles of interest to account teams and client
  • Assist in the development of long-term client plans and program recommendations and developing budgets
  • Manage reporting mechanisms for client and account team
  • Participate with senior team leaders in client presentations
  • Coach/mentor junior staff and review their work for accuracy
  • Support organic new business development initiatives
  • This role will be approximately 1/3 media relations, 1/3 writing, and 1/3 research, planning & strategy 

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • 2+ years (SAE); 4+ years (AS) of Public Relations and/or integrated marketing experience required; agency experience preferred 
  • MUST have experience with Public Relations/marketing campaigns and media relations 
  • B2B communications experience is a MUST
  • Experience and/or strong interest in professional services
  • Understanding of digital media's role in integrated communication strategies
  • Proficiency in digital and social content marketing 
  • Experience managing accounts and strong client interactions
  • Exceptional writing and communications skills is critical in this role
  • Works effectively within a team, demonstrating coordination, communication and problem-solving contribution
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills; able to work quickly, prioritizing multiple assignments, while being flexible to changing client and team needs & priorities
  • Flexible approach; has the ability to change priorities against changing client and team needs
  • Ability to grasp complex content
