Social Media Lead - Huge Global Consulting Firm - NYC/Seattle/San Francisco

In this role, you’ll play a key role in helping one of the world’s most admired companies with their global, content led, strategy. You’ll work with a diverse team of innovative marketing experts who focus on  global brand management and advertising; global events and sponsorships; marketing research; media and industry analyst relations; corporate communications; internet marketing; recruitment marketing; client-centric marketing; and industry, service line and geographic marketing campaigns

This Global Social Media Manager will primarily drive social media communications in priority areas, closely collaborating with marketing and communication colleagues. The individual reports to the Global Social Media Director

Define strategy and execute programs with smart social content and intelligent targeting that drive relevant reach, engagement and influence.  Lead large, sophisticated social media programs and campaigns across the complex, dynamic organization.
Work closely with the Global Social Media Director and team to define the social media strategy and roadmap for the company.

We are looking for a minimum 7 years of experience in marketing and communications, the majority of which was spent in social media, building awareness, image and supporting business development as well as developing content. In this particular role, you will lead a large and important part of our global digital content and community efforts, driving content and community strategies and collaborating across the organization to manage external communities that present our brand, content and people in new and innovative ways. To excel in this role, strong brand and content expertise, curation skills and a deep understanding of digital and social are absolute musts.  You will be part of the well-respected Corporate Social Media Team and report to the Global Social Media Director.

You’ll do well if you have strong program management skills and strong analytical skills and writing skills.  You’ll need strong budget management and financial reporting skills because you’ll be handling large budgets with multiple vendors and deliverables. 

Superior oral and written communication skills are expected.  Strong presentation skills will help you in this highly matrixed organization.  An exposure to professional services or B2B is helpful.  To advance quickly in the organization, you’d be an excellent collaborator; who can build effective relationships in a large, complex organization, who can develop and apply creative solutions to complex issues, work autonomously and independently, yet integrate appropriately with other areas of Marketing & Communications and other groups.

This role has global responsibilities so you will be working with colleagues in various time zones and occasionally may be required to travel nationally and internationally
