Vice President, Communications
TheVP of Communications will work closely with leadership to develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies and will provide a center of excellence and resource for the company in public relations and marketing communications.
Responsibilities include:
Advise senior management on wide range of issues, regarding corporate positioning, reputation management, announcements and communications surrounding M&A activity.
Work with the head of communications to present Investcorp’s strategy to various stakeholders.
Build the reputation of the company’s through digital and social communications as well as traditional trade and general media relations, social engagements and events.
Train and guide executives for media interviews.
Oversee NYC based PR agency.
Draft press releases, speeches, op-eds, sections of the annual report, marketing collateral material and social media for executives of the firm.
Manage production of branded material, monitoring quality and adherence to corporate standards in the New York office
Manage the company website.
Contribute to the company’s intranet to ensure visible and effective communication of the Firm’s activities and capabilities.
Serve as spokesperson to the media as necessary.
Basic Requirements include:
At least 6 to 15 years of demonstrated communications ability at another financial services institution.
Excellent writing and presentation skills.
Ability to think and act strategically.
Ability to influence and communicate with a
wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
Strong understanding of traditional and
social media relations as applied to the financial services industry.
Experience working with senior level
executives.
Exceptional attention to detail.
A self-starter who can balance multiple
projects at once, can work autonomously when needed but also work closely in
support of senior management.
