Assistant Vice President - Corporate Communications - International Asset Management Firm - NYC

The AVP of Corporate Communications will provide a center of excellence and resource in the US for this large international asset management firm.  The role will be located in the NYC office.

The AVP will manage the company's website and internet to ensure visible and effective communications of the firm's activities and capabilities.

Additionally, the AVP will help to manage various publication projects such as the annual report, corporate videos, corporate brochures, and the biannual newsletter.  This will involve liaising with vendors and being the primary point of contact with suppliers, as well as having responsibility for the corporate communications budget in the US.

The AVP of Corporate Communications will draft press releases and other communications documents and should be a good eitor and proof reader.  They should have a good grasp of social media and modern technologies.

The AVP will be tasked with monitoring the quality and adherence to corporate standards in teh NY office to ensure that the branding and messaging is consistent with corporate identity and other company policy and standards.

Another responsibility will be to liaise with the PR agency in New York and coordinate meetings with journalists and other influencers.  Work with senior executives on media tours and other visits.

Coordinate with international offices on various projects and provide other support as needed.

Coordinate the design and production of effective communications materials such as press releases, Q&A's newsletters and etc.

The right candidate should inspire trust, demonstrate calm and focus under pressure, be familiar with the financial services industry, be a team player and have the self confidence to deal well with senior level executives.

Account Director or VP - Financial Services - NYC

Corporate Media And Issues Management - NYC or Washington DC

This Media and Issues Manager will support a high profile area within the global media relations sector of one of the most admired companies in the world. 

We are looking for a strategic thinker focused on supporting the generation of global tier one media attention for global corporate initiatives and also has experience working with sensitive issues, and reactive media as well as project management experience.

In this role you will work with colleagues to provide timely responses to media requests and support the development of channel and/or tactic specific external messages tos upport the company agenda in the marketplace.  You will work on a diverse set of disciplines including issues management, project management, messaging and positioning.
  • Proven success in project management and ability to manage multiple tasks including working with executives at all levels.
  • Exceptional media relations skills and ability to develop stores and understand news cycles;  solid relationships with business and politics/policy media
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills for audiences ranging from general to business to technical -- including press releases, talking points, Q&A's etc.
  • Strong business acumen

Southwest Media Manager - Huge Global Consulting Firm - Dallas

A well-known global consulting firm is searching for a dynamic public relations pro to support the strategy, execution and coordination of a comprehensive media relations program for the firm’s businesses across the Southwestern United States, with a particular focus on Houston and Dallas. The role is responsible for generating top tier media coverage in influential, local press that advances regional business objectives, and includes executive positioning programs for the firm’s leaders across the region.

This person will support campaign and message development around important regional and local marketing initiatives and collaborate with national, industry, business and global media relations colleagues across the company to leverage content for locally relevant stories, and will complement the media relations program with social media to amplify awareness and visibility
You’ll manage the press release pipeline for market or regional relevant research studies and surveys, corporate citizenship activities, inclusion and diversity initiatives, and other news and any community stories.

We’re looking for a minimum of 7 years of media relations experience in a professional services, B2B or technology sector.

Also looking for strong relationships with local press in Houston and Dallas and any experience with other key Southwest markets--Austin, San Antonia, Phoenix, Denver and Salt Lake City would be great.

Also looking for the ability to leverage social media to augment and amplify media relations program.
