Our client is one of the world's largest consulting firms and this person would be part of their media and marketing enterprise. This role in particular supports the resources industry group. Working with the group's leadership, the marketing and research teams, the Manager will be responsible for improving the focus, quality and frequency of media coverage for the company. This is done through building relationships with the tier one press and most influential industry analysts.
You should have excellent writing skills, a good knowledge of business and technology media, able to offer sound professional advice to senior executives on matters pertaining to communications. You'll be collaborating with the firm's individual media leads in different countries ensuring the alighnment of messages across different markets.
The role includes management of a PR agency. The firm is a complex, highly matrixed organization and this person is expected to be a roll up your sleeves and do it person who can act autonomously yet who is very collaborative because you'll be working with many different people on strategic programs in a collaborative way.
You should have a minimum of 7 years' excellent, strategic media relations experience with proven expertise getting placements in tier one media.

You will act as a strategic advisor to the President of the division. You will be responsible to develop and implement internal and external communications plans and programs that will foster the company's growth and employee engagement.
