Manager of Social Media - FASHION - NYC

The Social Media Manager/Specialist will oversee the social media strategy for this hip and exciting fashion company for it's launch in the US and beyond.  The Social Media Manager will be responsible for driving growth through the principal social media channels:  Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest.

The Social Media Manager will also manage relationships in coordination with the PR Manager with bloggers and online style influencers and also in coordination with the European PR team.


The Social Media Manager will interact across all other functions of the company supporting their respective objectives while ensuring a consistency in the company's brand messaging.

Create content across channels to communicate with the company's audiences including the planning and content of the company's YouTube channel with the objective of growing the community across each channel.  

Analyze effective benchmarks for measurement of impact, identify relevant blogs and help to increase revenues by creating affiliate marketing channels.

Develop relationships with fashion insiders and style influencers.  Link internal and external partnerships.  Help to create events, work with the marketing team on various projects and announcements.  Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive insights.

We are looking for someone with at least three years of social media PR experience.  A full understanding of the fashion landscape and the ability to spot the "most wanted" pieces and trends.  Ecommerce experience and foreign language skills are a BIG plus.

Must have a strong understanding of the principles of SEO, analytics, tracking and social media monitoring tools.  

We need a resourceful self starter with fresh and innovative ideas who can work independently but also collaboratively.  Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Organized.  Can manage deadlines and multiple projects at once.
